The Accomplishments of Daniel Chavez Moran
One of the greatest businessmen in Mexico spent over three decades making significant developments to the socioeconomic development of Mexico and Latin America. Daniel Chavez Moran was not only extremely successful in his business endeavors, he is widely known for his philanthropy.
Before his retirement in 2005, Mr. Moran created a conglomerate of businesses that illustrated his promotion of socioeconomic development. Those businesses helped to develop roads, urban infrastructure, real estate, hotel operations and new tourist destinations. He was also responsible for creating a new international airport.
Daniel Chavez Moran also had a tremendous passion for philanthropy. He was deeply concerned about the economic inequality that plagued Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Mr. Moran was able to leverage his vast business knowledge to create a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a sustainable economic future for those living in Latin America. The foundation was created in 2005 and in 2008 its name was changed to Grupo Vidanta.
His philanthropy is his proudest accomplishment. With his help, the foundation can continue international dialog to promote further social and economic development while reducing the social inequality that plagues Latin America.
Another of Mr. Moran’s foundation is the Fundacion Delia Moran A.C. in honor of his mother. The purpose of this foundations is to combat poverty and ignorance among children. This foundation has opened many educational and cultural centers to provide medical care to the children to allow them to become healthy and contributing members of society.
Many people in the position of Daniel Chavez Moran have been successful as either a businessman or philanthropist, but rarely both. He used his businesses to illustrate how being a philanthropist was also beneficial. He encouraged his employees to give back to the community.
He proved that by allowing his employees to be more philanthropic they became more productive. He also recognized that his customers became more loyal as his philanthropy was shown.
Daniel Chavez Moran will long be remembered for his contribution to helping the underprivileged people of Latin America overcome the socioeconomic inequality that they have faced for generations. His actions truly speak volumes about his generosity.
