While it is recommended to avoid using pesticides completely, households use pesticides to kill pest, poisons rats, and to eliminate weeds on the garden. Pesticides contain chemicals that kill pests yet these chemicals have a bad effect to the family members.  If these pesticides are not properly kept, it can cause serious problems such as poisoning, pulmonary problems, and even birth defects. When it comes to cleaning agents, use only safe and biodegradable cleaning agents.

Carbon Monoxide Exposure and Other Contaminants

If you have heaters, stoves, refrigerators, and other appliances at home that are not working, they can emit deadly carbon monoxide in the air. You cannot see this colorless gas but you can keep your love ones from these environmental hazards. Dispose appliances that are not functioning and have your home well ventilated. Another way to ensure that you are not expose to this chemical is to ensure that your building material and other appliances inside your home is made of materials that does not emit this chemical.

Drinking Water

Where does your drinking water come from? Does it come from your own well? If so, make sure that it is safe to drink. Have your water tested every year. Take good care of your well and keep the water clean at all times.
